Job Title: Junior Video Editor

About the Role
We’re on the hunt for a creative, detail-driven Junior Video Editor to join our content and media team. If you’re passionate about visual storytelling, know how to work with footage, effects, and sound to create compelling video content, and can handle a fast-paced work environment — this role is for you.
You’ll work on marketing campaigns, social media content, documentaries, promotional videos, interviews, and event highlight reels. You will be expected to interpret briefs, manage timelines, and collaborate with both internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos for digital platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, websites, etc.)
- Apply color correction, audio syncing, motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, and sound design as needed
- Collaborate with creative, marketing, and content teams to interpret storyboards and briefs
- Maintain organized video project files and follow brand guidelines
- Optimize videos for different platforms, formats, and audiences
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation for video content
- Ensure timely delivery of video projects, even under tight deadlines
- Stay updated on trends in visual storytelling and video content
- Occasionally assist on-site with shoots, depending on project needs
Requirements
- Must own a laptop capable of handling video editing
- Proficiency in one or more video editing suites: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar
- A strong eye for pacing, transitions, and storytelling
- Basic sound design and audio editing skills
- Ability to follow creative direction and also bring original ideas to the table
- A portfolio or showreel showcasing video editing work (required)
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to receive and apply feedback constructively
- Previous internship or freelance experience is a plus, but not mandatory
Nice to Have
- Motion graphics or animation skills
- Experience with YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok formats
- Familiarity with YouTube content best practices
- Experience editing for ads, interviews, or brand content
